From 16 to 19 June 2022, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) has supported Cycling Kosovo for Children 2022, a fundraising initiative organized by the NGO Action for Mothers and Children to raise funds for the pediatric division of the Gjilan/Gnjilane Regional Hospital.

Joining this major benefic event has become a tradition for EULEX, which has supported Cycling Kosovo for Children for eight years in a row.

The Mission’s cycling team consisted of six passionate cyclists, while five additional staff members have provided medical and logistics assistance through the entire route with support vehicles.

The Head of EULEX, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, has confirmed the Mission’s keenness in sponsoring this initiative. “I’m very proud that we, as a European Union Rule of Law Mission, are sponsoring this event,” he stated encouraging everyone to join the cycling.

This year’s proceeds will be entirely donated to the pediatric division of the Gjilan/Gnjilane Regional Hospital.
