Following an online media report stating that Head of EULEX Mission, Gabriele Meucci, suppressed a criminal investigation, the Mission would like to reiterate that investigations carried out by its judiciary are independent and cannot be overridden by the Mission’s leadership or any entity outside the judicial process.

EULEX has no tolerance for any interference in the work of judiciary. Any allegation regarding EULEX leadership interfering, suppressing, or hindering the independent work of the judiciary are untrue and unfounded.
