Last Thursday EULEX facilitated a Workshop on the future of the NCBM with participation of around 18 senior managers from all three Border Management Authorities (Kosovo Border Police, Kosovo Customs, and Kosovo Food & Veterinary Agency). Kosovo’s Ministry of Internal Affairs also took part in the workshop dedicated to the exchange of ideas and practices that are crucial for the establishment of the functional Centre. The Centre will in the future be the focal point for  the ‘real-time’ sharing of relevant information between all the border agencies and will have the technical capacity for collating, analysing and disseminating information, undertaking multi-agency risk analysis, carrying out international cooperation and helping to combat corruption.
