On 28 October, a group of 16 experienced police officers and students of the German Police University in Münster, visited our Mission to learn more about what we do in Kosovo.
They were briefed by our Chief of Staff, Head of Press and Public Information Office, Head of Human Resources Division, Thematic Lead Monitor of gender-based violence cases, and our Mission Security Officer. They had the opportunity to hear first-hand about EULEX’s journey in Kosovo since 2008, its achievements, the challenges it faces, and our great partnership with Kosovo’s rule of law counterparts. They also had the opportunity to learn how it is like to work in a civilian Common Security and Defence Policy Mission and what is EULEX up to today.
The experienced police officers and students said that they were impressed by the cooperation between the various international community actors present in Kosovo and the local institutions, as well as the progress Kosovo’s justice system has made.
The students engaged in a lively discussion with our Mission’s staff and expressed their gratitude for the openness of the Mission representatives.
