The Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, joined the recruitment campaign of the Kosovo Police to attract candidates from non-majority communities.

“The composition of the police should reflect the composition of the population. Join the Kosovo Police and contribute to the safety of your own community by preventing and combatting crime,” says Wigemark in his call to potential candidates, asking them to take this opportunity as it is in their own interest and in the interest of their own community.

The support to the recruitment campaign is in line with EULEX’s commitment to work together with the Kosovo Police to support the stability of Kosovo and contribute to the security and safety of women, men, girls and boys from all communities, as well as EULEX’s mission to support Kosovo’s rule of law institutions on their path towards increased effectiveness, sustainability, multi-ethnicity and accountability.
