The European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) clarifies that, since 2018, EULEX no longer has a mandate to directly carry out search and seizure operations. Within the confine of its current mandate to support selected rule of law institutions in Kosovo on their path towards increased effectiveness, sustainability, multi-ethnicity and accountability, free from political interference and in line with international human rights standards and best European practices, concerning such operations, EULEX’s mandate is limited only to providing logistical support to relevant judicial and investigative authorities.
