On 22 November, in the presence of the KFOR Commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, and of the Head of Operations Support Pillar of European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Carlos Pereira, members of the EULEX Formed Police Unit (FPU) and of the EULEX Reserve Formed Police Unit conducted with KFOR a joint crisis emergency response exercise called “Golden Sabre” in Camp Novo Selo.

The objective of the joint exercise was to strengthen coordination in crisis emergency response between EULEX’s FPU and KFOR, Kosovo’s second and third security responder respectively, and to maintain operational readiness to support the stability and security of all communities in Kosovo.

This was the second “Golden Sabre” exercise conducted by EULEX and KFOR in 2023.
