On 23 and 24 November, a delegation from the Danish National Police, including members of the Danish Police Union, visited the headquarters of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in Pristina.

The delegation was welcomed by the Head of Mission of EULEX, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, who gave the visitors a comprehensive overview of the Mission’s mandate and of the latest developments in Kosovo.

The Danish Police Officers were also briefed by the EULEX Senior Mission Security Officer, Kevin Martin, who presented the Mission’s work from a security perspective, and by the EULEX Chief Situation and Information Centre (SIC), Ville Siikasalmi.

The Delegation concluded the two-day visit to Kosovo with a field trip to northern Kosovo accompanied by the Danish National Contingent Leader, the SIC Officer René Laursen. During the field visit visitors had the chance to meet with representatives from the EULEX Formed Police Unit and from the Reserve Formed Police Unit.
