17 October

Sustained international cooperation requires constant coordination and unity as well as shared commitment to stability among all security actors in order to ensure the safety of all communities in Kosovo.

On 17 October 2024, the Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano, welcomed to the EULEX Headquarters the new NATO-KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani. They exchanged notes on the common commitment, as, respectively, Kosovo’s second and third security responders, to supporting security and stability challenges in Kosovo.

The day before, Barbano visited the Carabinieri and the military police from Moldova and Czech Republic of the KFOR-NATO Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) in Pristina. During his visit he pointed out that interoperability is vital for effectiveness on the ground, strengthening cooperation in promoting security and stability across Kosovo.
