SESII Master Students from Sciences Po Strasbourg Visit EULEX

In a significant visit, on the 23rd of January, 18 students from the European Security, Stabilization, and International Intervention (SESII) Master Programme at Sciences Po Strasbourg had the opportunity to engage with members of the EULEX Mission in Kosovo. The students gained an in-depth understanding of the Mission’s current role in supporting selected rule of law institutions in the Kosovo.

During the visit, EULEX representatives provided insights into the EULEX’s involvement in justice and rule of law initiatives, highlighting the complex challenges and achievements in Kosovo. The discussion focused on the Mission’s broader goals within the framework of the European Union’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), the coordination between EULEX and local authorities, as well as collaboration with other international actors.

The students were able to explore the strategic and operational dynamics of international missions, emphasizing how EULEX’s presence is crucial for fostering stability in Kosovo through its ongoing support to the justice and rule of law system.

This educational visit offered a unique opportunity for the SESII students to understand from real-world practices while also gaining a deeper understanding of the complexities of CSDP civilian missions abroad.
