On the 7th February 2025, the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) hosted a virtual job fair, providing young professionals with an opportunity to explore career prospects in the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) field. The event not only offered career advice but also served as a direct gateway to international crisis management, offering participants valuable insights into life within a CSDP mission and the various career opportunities within EULEX.
The fair was opened by EULEX’s Deputy Head of Mission, Emily Rakhorst, and the Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability (CPCC) Head of Mission Personnel, Mirco Kreibich, who introduced the Mission’s mandate and highlighted the diverse career pathways available. Their remarks set the tone for an engaging discussion on the strategic role young professionals play in international missions, emphasizing the value they bring through fresh perspectives, diverse experiences, and innovative ideas.
Focusing on career development, the EULEX Head of Human Resources Division, Anita Janassary, emphasized that the success of international missions relies on attracting dynamic and motivated professionals, particularly young talent, who are ready to learn to tackle complex global challenges.

A key highlight of the event was the announcement of the Young Professional Expert
Program, an initiative offering early-career professionals hands-on experience in a CSDP
mission. With the launch of the first call just around the corner, the fair provided participants
with the insights and tools to take their first step into this competitive field.
