EULEX continues supporting Kosovo through its fund-raising Charity Event

On 24th of February, the Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano handed over a generous donation to representatives from the NGO Care for Kosovo Kids and to dedicated nurses from the Children’s Hemato-Oncology Department at the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo.

The donation was the result of the annual EULEX Charity Event, which successfully raised over €8,000. This cherished activity, which is now a consolidated tradition within the Mission, sees EULEX Mission Members, partners, and friends coming together with the common purpose of supporting those in need.

During the handover ceremony, the Head of Mission stated that providing support to the most vulnerable members of society is not just a privilege, but a vital part of EULEX’s commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact on all communities. He noted that, over the years, the EULEX Charity Event has become a sign of dedication and unity, reflecting the core values that define both the Mission and its members.

Whilst receiving the donation, representatives from the NGO Care for Kosovo Kids and Children’s Hemato-Oncology Department extended their heartfelt thanks to EULEX, highlighting the significant impact that this contribution will have on the children and emphasizing that the donation will go a long way in providing essential support, greatly improving the lives of the children under their care.
