On the 19^th of March 2025, the Head of Mission of the European Union Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano, presented the Mission forensic expert work on missing persons to the European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Peter Sørensen, who visited the Institute of Forensic Medicine today.

During the visit, they emphasized the importance of families of missing persons knowing the truth, regardless of the circumstances surrounding their disappearance, including factors such as ethnicity, religion, national origin, or any other characteristics of their loved ones.
