The EULEX War Crimes Investigation Unit has facilitated a six day training course held in Pristina between 09.09.2015 and 27.01.2016. The course was designed for participants to further develop their investigative skills and their understanding of key topics and issues relevant to successful investigations and prosecutions of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Local and international war crimes investigators, local prosecutors and legal officers took part in the course.
EULEX experts from War Crime Investigation Unit, Executive Criminal Investigation Unit (ECID), Kosovo Special Prosecution Office (SPRK) and Department of Forensic Medicine (DFM) conducted the six day training course. In addition, the course promoted the common understanding and the importance of cooperation and a comprehensive approach to war crimes investigation and prosecution.
