On 20 June, the Mission hosted an international group of students from the University of Essex, who engaged in a passionate discussion on EULEX’s main activities with the Head of Monitoring Pillar Johanna Valenius, the Deputy Head of Operations Pillar Christian Wessman, the Head of Press Office and Spokesperson Ioanna Lachana, and Political Officer Naim Hajdari.

An interactive game and Q&A session helped the participants get an in-depth understanding of the everyday work of EULEX. Students were especially interested in hearing more about EULEX’s Formed Police Unit, its Case Monitoring Unit, and the rule of law situation in Kosovo. The various inputs and comments by students with different backgrounds made this visit highly valuable.
