At the meeting with the Vice President of LDK, Vjosa Osmani, Mr Thran wished the party every success in the time ahead and underlined the importance of continuing the work of creating a strong rule-of-law structure in Kosovo. “A strong and resilient rule-of-law system creates a society where citizens can live in comfort and safety, where businesses can flourish and ideas can grow. It is fundamental to a prosperous, European-oriented society,” said Thran. Following this meeting Mr Thran held a farewell meeting with Vetevendosje leader, Albin Kurti.
Outgoing Acting Head of EULEX also met with the KFOR Commander and thanked him for the excellent cooperation. “I would like to underline the particularly smooth and well-coordinated cooperation I enjoyed with Lorenzo - the relationship between EULEX and KFOR during his time really stood out as particularly strong,” said Mr Thran, adding: “It was a genuine pleasure to work together and I thank him for the work he did in strengthening the partnership between NATO and the EU in the field”.
