Five people convicted for fifty four years imprisonment

A mixed panel of two EULEX judges and one local judge, presided over by a EULEX judge at the District Court of Pristina convicted two people for aggravated murder and two people for attempted aggravated murder. A fifth person was convicted on both these counts. Four defendants were acquitted on charges of attempted kidnapping.

S.A. was found guilty on the count of Aggravated Murder and sentenced to twelve years of imprisonment.

D.H. was found guilty on the count of Attempted Aggravated Murder and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment.

B.S. was found guilty on the count of Aggravated Murder and sentenced to twelve years of imprisonment.

S.S. was found guilty on the count of Attempted Aggravated Murder and sentenced to eight years of imprisonment.

S.U. was found guilty on two counts, Aggravated Murder and Attempted Aggravated Murder and sentenced to fourteen and nine years of imprisonment respectively. The aggregate punishment is fifteen years of imprisonment.

N.B. was a cooperative witness in this case.

The case was prosecuted by a EULEX prosecutor from Kosovo’s Special Prosecution Office.
