EULEX takes action to help Kosovo’s electricity supply

07 February 2012

7 February, 2012, Pristina

Given the current severe weather conditions, EULEX is taking measures to reduce its electrical consumption in order to support the local power grid.

EULEX premises will use its generators as much as possible in order to keep grid consumption to a minimum.

The EULEX heating and lighting system will be controlled by its technical staff in an attempt to control and minimise the use of electricity. At weekends, all but essential power, will be cut. This policy will continue until further notice.

This should assist public utilities in their efforts to supply the general public with electricity.
