03 April 2015

Today, EULEX handed over medical equipment including a sterilization autoclave,  a Compressor nebulizer,  an ICU ventilator, a patient monitor and an anesthesia machine to the University Clinical Centre Pristina as  donations.

Sean Kerins, Head of EULEX Mission Support Department, explained that these donations are part of the equipment that have become surplus to the Mission requirements and that EULEX following a request from Kosovo institutions is more than happy to donate them.

Rina Limani, Donation Coordinator from the University Clinical Centre Pristina thanked EULEX for its continuous support. "EULEX has proven to be very helpful with donations of different kinds also in the past. Until now, we received two ambulances for the University Clinical Centre Pristina and Regional Hospital in Kaçanik/Kačanik which helped our work,” said Limani. “The medical equipment received today will be a big help for us, it can be used either for intensive care or in the emergency center,” she adds.

Since 2011, EULEX has made several donations, other than medical related equipment, such as; IT equipment, office supplies, vehicles etc, with the aim of helping to strengthen the capacities of local institutions.
