23 years ago, on 12 November 1999, 24 women and men, who were working at the time for UN agencies, aid organizations and government agencies, tragically lost their lives in the crash of the UN World Food Program-chartered aircraft, flight 3275, on mount Piceli, north-east of Mitrovica.

On 12 November, a delegation of the Italian contingent of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo’s (EULEX) honored their memory at a wreath laying ceremony organized by the Italian State Police. The ceremony was also attended by representatives from UNMIK and Carabinieri Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) of KFOR.
