On 04 July, 25 students from the University of North Carolina visited the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) to learn more about the Mission's mandate.

The students were hosted by the Head of EULEX, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, and the Head of EULEX's Press and Public Information Office and Spokesperson, Ioanna Lachana.

Barbano spoke about the extension of the Mission's mandate and the tasks of the Mission in the next two years. Lachana briefed the students in detail about the Mission's mandate through an interactive discussion and also through videos which reflect EULEX’s work on the ground. The students were very curious to know more about what the Mission does in the security sector, EULEX's work in finding missing persons, the work of its case monitoring unit, and how EULEX communicates with the media and the public.

Lastly, the Head of EULEX encouraged the students to consider applying in internship programs and explore employment opportunities in international missions.
