On 24 November, 26 students from the University of Pristina, AAB College, RIT Kosovo (AUK), and the University of Business and Technology (UBT) completed the three-day Career Development Workshop, organized by the Human Resources Division of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) with the objective to provide senior students with the fundamental skills and knowledge required to plan a professional career with international organisations.

The workshop, which was on its second edition, has been organized in cooperation with the University of Pristina, in partnership with GIZ Kosovo, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo USAID Kosovo and with the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo.

As part of the workshop, the students also visited the EULEX Headquarters in Pristina where they were welcomed by the Head of EULEX, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, who encouraged them to pursue careers in international organizations by also sharing his own personal career story.

The program of the workshop focused on practical tips and insights, such as where and how to look for vacancies, how to draft motivational letters, CV’s,  application forms, and it included job interview simulations.

During the intensive three-day learning experience, the students had the opportunity to hear from various guest speakers from the partner organizations and were provided with guidance on how to make informed career choices and on how to directly connect with human resources representatives from different international organizations that operate in Kosovo.
