Essex University students visit EULEX

A group of twenty four students from Essex University specialising in human rights visited EULEX on 16th of June, to learn more on the Mission’s mandate, its commitment to the rule of law and human rights. 

They were briefed about the mission’s mandate, achievements and challenges by the Head of Press Office, Dragana Nikolic Solomon.  Judge Anders Gunnar Cedhagen, Vice President EULEX Judges presented an outline of the EULEX executive function. He elaborated in more detail about the justice system, and more specifically the everyday activities of EULEX judges. Paul John Landers, a legal officer from Human Rights Review Panel, HRRP,  spoke about the mandate of the panel set up externally to review alleged human rights violations by EULEX Kosovo in the conduct of its executive mandate.
