An international prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office, on Friday 27 December 2013, filed an indictment in the Basic Court in Ferizaj/ Uroševac against seven Kosovo citizens. The charges include Abusing Official Position or Authority, in violation of article 339 of the old Criminal Code; Accepting Bribes, in violation of Article 343 of the old Criminal Code; Trading in Influence, in violation Article 431 of the current Criminal Code; Failure to Report Criminal Offenses or Perpetrators, in violation of Article 386 of the current Criminal Code and Unauthorized Ownership, Control or Possession of Weapons, in violation of Article 374 of the current Criminal Code . Among the defendants are two Kosovo Police officers from Ferizaj/ Uroševac.

The investigation was conducted by investigators from the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, led by an international Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office and a Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj/ Uroševac.

Together with the indictment, the prosecutors also filed a request to extend the detention on remand of four defendants and the measure of reporting at the police station against one defendant.
