Today, an international prosecutor from the Pristina Basic Prosecution Office filed an indictment at the Serious Crimes Department of the Basic Court of Pristina against nine defendants in the so-called passports case. The case is related to the theft of 1.4 million Euros which occurred in the context of a public supply contract for biometric passports at the Kosovo Ministry of Internal Affairs. The defendants are charged with Organised Crime and Money Laundering as well as with other offences.
The case is being prosecuted in a mixed team by an international and local Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina.
