A EULEX judge at the Municipal Court of Mitrovica partially confirmed the indictment against seven of the eleven accused charged with committing the criminal offences of abusing official position and smuggling of goods.

The judge confirmed the indictment against the defendants N.D., A.S., N.P., B.S. and K.H. for the charges of abusing official position and accepting bribes, but dismissed the charge of smuggling of goods.

The indictment was confirmed against H.F. for the charge of abuse of official position but dismissed for the charge of smuggling of good.

The indictment against P.B. and H.F. was dismissed in connection to the charge of smuggling of goods.

The indictment against A.B. was entirely dismissed for the charges of abusing official position, accepting bribes and smuggling of goods.

The judge ordered the severance of proceedings against the defendants B.M. and S.G.. A new confirmation hearing will be scheduled for these defendants.

The indictment was filed by a local prosecutor from the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo.
