A mixed panel of judges, presided over by a EULEX judge at the Supreme Court, confirmed the Peja/Pec District Court judgment against D.Q. convicted for the criminal offence of aggravated murder and sentenced to 23 years of imprisonment.

The panel rejected the appeal of the defendant through his defence counsel as ungrounded and confirmed the verdict in its entirety.

D.Q. was found guilty from the first instance court, because he deceitfully and intentionally shot and killed Y.S. in August 2008 in the village of Volljake, municipality of Klina, for the purpose of obtaining material benefit.

The case was prosecuted by a EULEX prosecutor.
