Today, at Prishtinë/Priština District Court, the main trial in the so-called Medicus case began. The panel of judges is composed of two EULEX and one Kosovo judge.
The EULEX prosecutor from the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office (SPRK) read the indictment charging the seven defendants with one or more counts of Trafficking in Persons, Organised Crime, Unlawful Exercise of Medical Activity, and Abusing Official Position or Authority.
All seven defendants pleaded not guilty.
The trial will continue tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:00, with the examination of a protected witness. Tomorrow’s hearing session is not open to the public.
