A mixed panel of local and international judges at Prishtinë/Priština Basic Court 18 October 2013 found H.K. guilty of aggravated murder and sentenced him to 22 years of imprisonment.

The court concluded that on 17 February 2009, in Zllatar/ Zlatar village, Municipality of Prishtinë/Priština, the defendant H.K., acting in a ruthless and violent manner and for low motives, caused grave bodily injury to a female victim, and deprived her from her life.

The period of time the defendant spent in detention on remand as of 19 February 2009 is credited to the sentence.

The case was prosecuted by a local prosecutor from Basic Prosecution Office of Prishtinë/Priština.

The parties are entitled to appeal the judgement in the Court of Appeals.
