A EULEX judge has ordered the detention on remand for fifteen days for a third person arrested in connection with an investigation into corruption.

Two other persons arrested earlier were yesterday given detention on remand for 30 days and 15 days each.

The offences being investigated are: Abusing of Official Position or Authority and Trading in Influence.

These charges are in connection with the alleged misconduct of a local Kosovo Special Prosecutors Office (SPRK) prosecutor and two others who, allegedly, extorted sums of money from a suspect in a case.

The investigation is being carried out by the EULEX Prosecution Office in Peja/Pec.
