This morning police officers from the EULEX Police Executive Department arrested an individual at the North Mitrovica police station when he appeared there.

The man, who is in his late thirties, faces charges relating to threatening a public official, unauthorized possession of weapons and obstructing official persons in performing official duties.

The investigation is being carried out by EULEX police under the supervision of a EULEX prosecutor at the Mitrovica District Court.

The arrest warrant was issued by a EULEX Pre-Trial judge in the District Court of Mitrovica.

The individual is also the subject of an international arrest warrant. He will appear before a EULEX pre-trial judge at the earliest opportunity.

On Monday EULEX police arrested another individual in northern Kosovo on charges relating to attempted murder, unauthorised possession of weapons and causing general danger.
